Well, not really but i'll be glad to know if we will get a glimpse of the shiny and new CN soon!
Are you aware of Click.to?
Pretty nifty freeware.
Suggested to them something that CN does - automatic url capture with text.
Suggestion was received quite some time ago but not applied to all options (yet).
Even if there aren't many new posts here, i'm sure many are in this expectation mood for the new CN.

Sorry to bring the sad news but I have just discovered that the approach
I've taken to implement the text formatting support is flawed and I need to
redo some parts of the work and therefore have to shift the date once again.
The new CintaNotes release date is set to November 1st.
I know it's been a long time and a long wait, but I can assure you that
I will be able to devote much more time to CintaNotes November forward.
Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Gosh Alex!
Don't know what to say! So much work!
I know computer geeks have those moments but it was must be a little discouraging.
At least you're still alive and kickin'!
Don't give up! CN is still an excellent program as is.
A Christmas present will be just fine!

I don't want to push it, but you know what would be nice?
A simple screenshot of what the new Cintanotes will look like!
Skins an' all!

Well, unfortunately not much has changed on the outside, since the only major feature is text formatting support.
But here it is:

Mind that for now, the text style was not taken automatically from HTML, but was assigned by hand.
In future versions CintaNotes will probably analyse HTML tags and assign appropriate text formatting.
Also, the UI will be kept very simple. There will quite deliberately be no formatting toolbar!
Only the context menu and keyboard shortcuts.

Shucks Alex!
Does that mean we won't be getting a Word 2010 Ribbon interface?!
(being sarcastic).

Hope you weren't referring to Word 2010's Ribbon interface.
Cintanotes' GUI is just perfect!

Also not the Win8 Windows Explorer.
I'm glad that CN's getting more functionful without losing it's simplicity, for that's what make it unique.

this is nothing new. Opera has had this built-in for many years. In Opera, select the text, right-click on it, choose "Search with" and choose from the list. If your desired search is not in the list, you can add it (right-click, "Create search" in any search field).

I agree, CN has been improving without bloat... I hope it stays that way. Good work Alex.
