Is there an option in the program settings to set a specific tab as default?

What exactly do you understand under "default"?

Well, let's say i don't have time to classify notes under a specific tab (unless that too can be configured), then i just clip/save as i go along and go back later on and assign them to designated tabs.

You can assign a section as default "inbox" via double-clicking on a tab (or right-clicking and selecitng "Set As Inbox For Clipping").

Ya well, instead of dabbing around so much with Linux stuff, I should be spending a little more time to enjoy discovering the intricacies of your software which has become a real gem and avoid posting such obvious questions (besides taking up your time).
