Quite often when I clip text it is in tabular form, once the clipped text is viewed in Cintanotes the word spacing goes adrift and what could be a useful list then has to be edited which for a 500+ line clip takes a very long time. Trying to export the note to xml or txt, editing it and then importing it back does retain edited changes . But when viewed in CintaNotes the format is lost. To make this clear when I talk about format I do not mean font, Bold or italics. I mean Spacing
I really need the format to remain for about 50% of my notes so I guess it could be user configurable.

Have you tried setting a monospaced font for the note's text, such as Courier New?

Does retaining TABS (as already requested) come into this? Nod

On a related peeve, I'd appreciate very much if there was a option for removing left indents (spaces/tabs), a task I find myself doing manually too many times.

I use Stripmail (http://www.stripmail.net/) to tidy text.
It "Configures forwarded e-mail messages, making them easier-to-read."

Guys, these are three loosely related features, I think we should manage them in separate topics.
