Hello, this are my suggestions:
1. After searching for notes press Tab to go downward through the list of found notes and Shift+Tab to go upward through the list.
2. Pressing Space expands the selected note to its full height and shows all the note content without entering the edit mode. Pressing Space again collapse the note.
3. Without entering edit mode pressing the left mouse button and dragging the mouse over selected text marks the text. Pressing the right mouse button shows option to copy the selected text.

The TAB key is reserved for navigating between controls (it cycles between notes list and search box). But you can simply use Up/Down arrow keys for navigating notes. Note that pressing Down key in the search box will work and transfer you to the notes list.Peter7885 wrote:1. I've long wanted this, and didn't realise it was already on the roadmap - added my +1 to it. Using Space (not mentioned in the roadmap entry but mentioned above) sounds like a great way to trigger it

Yes, and it has quite a lot of votes. So while I don't promise that it will work as described here, the general direction is to provide more and more ability to interact with the note without actually opening it in the editor. Things like selecting/copying text, adding /removing tags, opening/adding/removing attachments will probably come first. Later we could think about adding ability to edit text inline (probably without all the fancy stuff of course).
Ideally at some point we'll arrive at a state where opening note in editor will be not necessary for day-to-day note-taking (but will always be available for cases where you need to, say, compare notes side by side etc).
