I use CintaNotes for various purposes, but especially for bibliographical references. In practice, what this means is that, if a large research library has open stacks, I open CintaNotes, carry my Surface Pro 4 into the stacks (with the keyboard folded back so that, in effect, it becomes a tablet), and fetch various books and periodicals -- which I then bring back to the reading room for reading and note-taking. Hence, before venturing into the stacks, I would very much like to be able to sort my bibliographical notes by another field, which would consist of a call-number (or shelf-mark). Then I could move much more efficiently among the shelves.
I would be happy to use the comments field for this purpose, but as far as I can tell, it is not possible to sort on that field. Is that true?

Re: sorting another field
Hi Bill,
Yes, you can't sort by comments at the moment. You can sort notes manually - so you could kind of have a comments sorting - but this is a bit of a pain, depending on your use case (number of notes, number that have comments etc). The roadmap has a few sorting related items, I believe this may be the one you want:
http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/topics/21 ... rks-field/
It's only got three votes at the moment however (it only had two, but I just added my vote to it as well), and I think Alex has a '10 vote minimum' threshold for feature implementation, so it may be a while before this gets into CN.
Regards,
Chris
