Say I catch 3 notes: 1,2 and 3. Then move 3 up, thus I got 1,3 and 2. Then merge them, the result text is still 123.

BTW, one request: please consider "reverse" function----before MERGE, sometimes we may want to reverse the selected notes.

If I'm not mistaken, I think currently note merging is not based on the physical (re)arrangement of notes but on their timestamping. May I ask what do you mean with "reverse" function? an "invert selection" command?

Don't know which english word I should use, maybe "invert"----I mean change from 123456 to 654321.

Since in 1.0 it will be possible to both sort manually and automatically by date, the merge behavior will be changed:
the notes will be merged in the order they appear in the current view of the list. I think this is the right thing to do because it follows the principle of least astonishment.

OK I see the "Reverse order" function. But even so, after merge, it follows the original order.

You'll have to wait till 1.0 comes out, namely March 15th.
