OS: Windows 7 64-bit (latest updates)
Version: 2.9.3 (2015-07-27)
We have a shared network drive (running on Windows Small Business Server 2011) between multiple Windows 7 desktop machines. Our CintaNotes database is saved on this shared network drive.
Previously, each Windows 7 machine ran CintaNotes and could access and edit this database simultaneously. However, since updating each program to CintaNotes 2.9.3 - and automatically the database to Notebook format version 2904 too - Windows is locking the database to the first user to start CintaNotes, thus preventing other users from opening/editing it.
The exact message we get is:
"The Notebook file '[file location on mapped network drive]'
is used by another application and cannot be opened."
I can email or paste a copy of the log if you'd like. Thanks

Re: Multi-user access to CintaNotes database
Hi cinta67,
thanks for the quiestion!
There's an easy solution: in cintanotes.settings, set sqlite.pragma.locking_mode to NORMAL (on all clients!)
